What will the Sunday service be like?
We have one service each Sunday which starts at 9:30 am. It is a blend of Traditional and Contemporary Services with a variety of music ranging from the Chancel Choir, Bell Choir, recorded songs and special music. We also live stream our service each Sunday. The links to the streaming can be found on our website @ https://fumcsheridanwy.org/ or on our YouTube channel fumcsheridanwy.
There is also a time of fellowship after the service in our newly remodeled basement in the fellowship Hall. We have an elevator available for those who want to join fellowship but do not do stairs.
Is there a dress code for First United Methodist Church?
We encourage you to wear what is comfortable. Wyoming can be hot is the summer and cold in the winter. Come as you are and “share God’s Love by Following Jesus!”
Must I be a member of First United Methodist Church to participate in Communion?
The first Sunday of each month we participate in Communion. The Communion Table is open to anyone and you do not need to be a member of the church. We welcome first time worshipers, children and adults in this Holy Sacrament. The Methodist tradition is to use grape juice and bread. We offer gluten free communion also.
When should I arrive for the service?
If it is your first visit, we encourage you to arrive 10 minutes early. We have a “Welcome Bag” at the welcome table located just inside the front door with friendly Greeters to help you with any questions you may have.
Are children welcome in service?
All are welcome in the Worship Service. We also have a nursery available with attendants during the service. Ushers can direct you to this room.
